
Local Training at Karakalpak State University on Renewable Energy Technologies Inspired by Évora Meeting Outcomes
A local training was held in Karakalpak State university, Republic of Uzbekistan on January 6, 2025. This local training was dedicated to promoting the topics discussed at the meeting held at the University of Evora from November 18 to 22. The primary goal of the training was to share the key ideas and strategies discussed during the meeting held in Évora. To achieve this, a series of sessions were conducted covering the following topics: Thermal Energy Storage Systems, Photovoltaic and Electrical Storage Systems, Solar Thermal Technologies, Solar Radiation: Measurement and Data, Water Production and Treatment, Energy Storage Methods and Devices, Design of New Technical Solutions Based on Alternative Energy, and Mechanical and Thermodynamic Aspects of Large-Scale Energy Storage. This local training provided an opportunity for professors, researchers, and students to enhance their knowledge in the field of renewable energy and sustainable technologies. By adapting the themes and approaches from the Évora meeting to the local context, the training enabled participants to explore innovative and practical solutions suitable for Uzbekistan’s energy challenges. Ultimately, the event strengthened academic cooperation and played a vital role in developing local expertise in alternative energy, laying the foundation for future collaborative projects and improved educational initiatives in the region.
