Education, Innovation, and Cooperation within the DEBSEUz Project
From January 13–16, 2026, an international workshop and consortium meeting is being held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU) within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE DEBSEUz project.
The event is dedicated to the theme “Solar Energy for Uzbekistan — Education, Innovation, Industry” and aims to foster the integration of education, innovation, and industry in the field of solar energy in Uzbekistan.

Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan;

Leading higher education institutions from Uzbekistan and Europe, including TUIT, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Karakalpak State University, Andijan State University, Fergana Technical University, Jizzakh Polytechnic University, Politecnico di Torino, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and Universidade de Évora.

During the event, the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar, emphasized that sustainable energy is a key area of cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia, reaffirming the EU’s commitment to strengthening knowledge exchange and partnerships.
This workshop and consortium meeting mark a strong and promising start for the DEBSEUz project, contributing to a new stage of development in education, scientific research, and industrial cooperation in solar energy in Uzbekistan.
Note: This project is being implemented under the grantholdership of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi (TUIT).
