DEBSEUz Project Presented to Students at Academic Lyceum

As part of the awareness and outreach activities under the DEBSEUz project, representatives from partner universities visited a local academic lyceum to introduce the project and its goals to students. The visit aimed to raise awareness about the importance of energy efficiency and sustainable development in Uzbekistan, and to inspire the next generation of professionals in this critical field. During the session, students learned about the DEBSEUz project’s mission to modernize higher education in energy-related disciplines through international collaboration between European and Uzbek institutions. Project members presented key outcomes, including the launch of new ECTS-accredited bachelor programs in Renewable Energy, with a specific focus on solar energy systems, as well as the updating of existing programs at TTPU to align with modern standards and industry needs. They also introduced a new web-based platform developed under the project, which will host educational content and serve as a digital resource hub for students and faculty. In addition, students were informed about the upcoming Bachelor’s programs, new laboratory facilities, and enhanced practical training opportunities designed to support advanced learning in the field of sustainable energy. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students expressed strong interest in energy-related careers and educational pathways. The event highlights DEBSEUz’s commitment to fostering a skilled, forward-thinking academic community equipped to address Uzbekistan’s energy challenges.
